What to bring
Requirements depend on the service and the amount. If you are unsure, call us before you come in.
Individuals
- Valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver’s licence or provincial photo card
- Proof of address, if required for your transaction
- Information about the source of funds for larger transactions
- Recipient details for transfers: full name, address and bank information
Businesses
- Certificate of incorporation or business registration
- Government-issued photo ID for each authorized signing officer
- Proof of business address
- Names of beneficial owners holding 25% or more of the business
- Nature of the business and purpose of the transactions

Money services businesses in Canada must verify the identity of their clients and keep records for certain transactions.
These checks are part of Canada’s anti-money-laundering rules. They also protect you: verifying identity makes it much harder for anyone to use your name, your accounts or your funds.

Tips for a smooth visit
Bring originals
Bring the original document. Photocopies and photos are generally not accepted as ID.

Your ID must be valid and not expired on the day of your visit.
